Seven Species Challah
Tu BiShvat (New Year of Trees) begins the evening of Wednesday 1/24/24. In this class, which took place live on 1/18/24, you’ll learn to make a special tree shaped challah filled with the symbolic “Seven Species of Israel.” I also teach the Classic 6-Strand braid, which is the basis of our design. And as we make our challah, we'll discuss the symbolism and meaning of the special ingredients.
